Welcome to The Remnants Journal

There are seasons in life that change us.

My former blog, Abuse Journal.com, documented the journey through the darkness. Seasons marked by fear, betrayal, loss, heartbreak, grief, and lingering emotional pain.

Seasons where we silently carry heavy burdens and scattered pieces of ourselves, trying to begin again while wondering whether a better life is even possible.

The Remnants Journal was created for those moments. To reflect on healing, rebuilding, creativity, faith, and learning to live beyond the darkness.

Where You Can Begin

Healing doesn’t follow a straight path, begin wherever you are.

What was Hidden

A place for the stories we carried secretly.

When Truth Finds Its Voice

Where awareness begins gently and honestly.

The Work of Mending

Small steps. Courage. Returning to yourself.

Walking in Freedom

Live differently, walk in freedom, a step at a time.

From the Journal Entries

Remnants from the journey shared as they are lived.

After Ten Years, The Secret Darkness Is Complete

As you may know, I started writing on Tumblr to release the anguish of abuse—all the pain buried for years.

At first, the memories came in bits and pieces—scattered reflections of childhood, broken relationships, and living in fear. The more I wrote, the more memories spilled onto the page, as tears flowed for the first time from a deep emotional place.

The Beauty Surrounding You

I love crafting nature-themed junk journals for others walking through healing journeys.

To help people slow down for a while and notice the beauty of God’s creation.

In The Secret Darkness: A Memoir of Overcoming Abuse and Finding Freedom, I reflect on how survival, pain, fear, and uncertainty can consume our attention, leaving us unaware of the simple beauty surrounding us each day.

Handcrafted Journals

These journals are created as a quiet place to begin.

Inspired by nature and the slow work of healing, each one is crafted to hold your thoughts, self-reflections, and the pieces of your story that are still unfolding.

There’s no pressure to write perfectly—only space to be honest, to process gently, and to move at your own pace.

If you’ve been looking to begin, a handcrafted journal may be the place to start. Along the way, the beauty of nature inspires and offers hope for the journey.
